By accessing or using PDForge ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of service
PDForge provides free, browser-based PDF tools including but not limited to: merging, splitting, compressing, converting, rotating, watermarking, and annotating PDF files. All processing occurs client-side in your web browser. No files are transmitted to or stored on our servers.
3. Acceptable use
You agree to use PDForge only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not infringe the rights of others. You must not:
- Use the Service to process files you do not own or have rights to
- Attempt to reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute the Service
- Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to abuse or overload the Service
- Use the Service to process illegal, harmful, or offensive content
4. Intellectual property
PDForge and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by PDForge and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You retain all rights to the documents you process using the Service.
5. Disclaimer of warranties
PDForge is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce results that meet your specific requirements. You use the Service at your own risk.
We strongly recommend keeping backups of your original files before processing.
6. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDForge shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of or inability to use the Service, including any loss of data or files.
7. Third-party tools and libraries
PDForge uses open-source libraries including pdf-lib, PDF.js, and others. These are governed by their respective licenses. Use of PDForge does not grant you any rights to these underlying libraries beyond what their licenses permit.
8. Modifications to the service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without notice. We will not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date will reflect changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
